BLACKSBURG, Va. – It's the women's turn to head into the ACC-Big 10 challenge. The Hokies are at llinois tomorrow night as coach Kenny Brooks is in year two revitalizing the women's program.
"I know a lot more now than I did at this time last year. And so we are just really trying to build a culture. We've been fortunate enough to win some games in doing so. But we are no where near where I want us to be as a program, and this team will help us get to that point. It just takes time, " says Virginia Tech women's coach Kenny Brooks.
The Virginia Tech women are out to a 5-2 start, which includes an early win over Auburn. They had a -2 showing in the Paradise Jam tournament in Florida. Illinois comes in 5-3 on the season.
