MOORHEAD, Minn. – The roads in Moorhead, Minnesota, were so slick on Wednesday that a Concordia College student decided to skate to class, the Fargo Forum reported.
Zach Doerring is a senior on the school's men's hockey team. The eight-second video captured by his friend was posted on Twitter, and it went viral.
"I don't really tweet a lot," Doerring told the Forum. "I just thought this was funny. It just kind of blew up."

The video on his Twitter page has nearly 100,000 views, as of Friday afternoon. On the Barstool Sports Instagram page, there are over 1.7 million views.
Doerring needed to get to campus, which sits on the Minnesota side of the Red River across from Fargo, North Dakota, but his car was blocked in by his roommate, Dalton Mills.
The two started talking about how icy it was from some freezing rain the area had received.
"This ice is better than our rink's ice, we can skate on this," Doerring said in the Forum report, quoting Mills.
So Doerring put on a pair of ice skates, grabbed his books and took off down the driveway and onto the street while Mills captured the event.
