DALEVILLE, Va. - Lord Botetourt defeated defending state champion Hidden Valley for the 5th time this season to advance to their first ever volleyball state final. The lady Cavs captured the first two sets 25-14,  and the third set 25-22 for a 3-0 set sweep. Lord Botetourt will face Warren County Saturday for the Class 3 VHSL title.

"We set out a goal at the beginning of the season that this is where we wanted to be in November, so we stay motivated and the girls they want it. So we're excited to be going to Richmond." Lord Botetourt coach Julie Conner says.

"I'm super proud of them being in the final four in the state. I mean they just keep fighting and fighting and fighting and that says a lot about their character and I still felt like they could have in the third game given up and they didn't. They fought as hard as I possibly could to the very end and it didn't go our way and it's not our turn this year and just super proud of our team." Hidden Valley coach Carla Ponn said.
