Camping World Bowl more than just another game for Hokies

Sending the seniors out right on the mind of the Hokies

ORLANDO, Fl – The Hokies held practice at a local high school not too far from Camping World Stadium. Virginia Tech and Oklahoma State will meet here at Camping World Stadium on Thursday, both teams looking for their 10th win of the season.

"We're just trying to bring that tradition back... growing up watching Virginia Tech win 10 games every year so just get back to that level; just set the stage for next year and for years after that," Virginia Tech linebacker Tremaine Edmunds said.

Wide receiver Eric Kumah feels the same way.

"Get 10 wins back-to-back that would be really big for us and what we really need to do I think it'll be really good for our program in everything going forward," Kumah said.

Head coach Justin Fuente said it's also important to have the seniors end their college careers on a high note.

"We talked about sending our seniors out the right way, we talked about finishing the season off the right way and trying to get to the 10-win number," Fuente said.

"So absolutely, we talk about those things. What it's going to take to do it and it's obviously going to be an incredible challenge; we're playing a really talented... football team that wants to do the same thing, but you bet we talk about it all the time."

Speaking of sending the seniors out the right way, linebacker Andrew Motuapuaka will wear the #25 jersey in honor of Frank Beamer.
