Virginia Tech keeps Delaware scoreless in Blacksburg

Hokies win 27-0

BLACKSBURG, Va. – Virginia Tech took a first quarter lead and never looked back against Delaware on Saturday. 

Greg Stroman ran in a punt return to open up scoring Saturday afternoon in Blacksburg as the Hokies hosted the Blue Hens.

Joey Slye made 50-yard field goal to extend their lead 10-0.

With two minutes left in the second quarter, Travon McMillian added another touchdown for the Hokies. They led at halftime 17-0.

Virginia Tech scored 10 points in the second half to win by a final 27-0.

Quarterback Josh Jackson finished the game 16/29 for 222 yards and two touchdowns. He also added 19 yards on the ground.
