Robertson Tournament Has Hosted A Slew of Current Pro Stars

It has become much more than a junior golf tour stop.  The Scott Robertson Memorial has become a labor of love for an army of members and volunteers at the Roanoke Country Club..
The administrators of this tournament put in countless hours to coordinate and fa ciliate not only the tournament itself, but often times living arrangements for the week for the traveling teen stars who are often far away from home.
They seen the best come through.   In its 31st year the Scott Robertson Memorial has hosted..and helped cultivate--what amounts to a bountiful harvest of fresh talent into the pro golf ranks.  PGA stars like Webb Simpson, Hunter Mahan and Kevin Na have finished atop the leaderboard here.  Meanwhile Paula creamer, Jessica Korda and Kristy McPherson have all shined in the Star City before taking the LPGA by storm. This junior stop--has become---one of the circuits most important. In fact, the Roanoke brass explain that the tournament is now considered among its participants--a "major" on the junior tour.   It has been more than a decade since Kevin Na repeated as Robertson champ.  2013 Boys 15-18 Champion Carl Yuan is returning--and will get his chance--in just a couple of days..
