Bridget Curran co-hosts Daytime Blue Ridge. She joined the WSLS 10 team in March 2019.
She comes to Roanoke from Eau Claire, Wisconsin where she began her television career at WQOW News 18 in 2014. There, she started out as a reporter, quickly moved into a weekend anchor position, and then ultimately became a morning anchor. Transitioning to a lifestyle show from a daybreak show was the next best opportunity for Bridget as she considered a more permanent position for herself.
Bridget grew up in Wisconsin as well. She remains a Green Bay Packers fan and loves her Wisconsin cheese, but she is thrilled to be in a more mild climate where 20 degrees in the winter is considered “very cold” by most locals.
She’s also simply excited to live in a different part of the country. Particularly, a place like Roanoke that’s surrounded by gorgeous mountains.
Bridget graduated from the University of Northwestern – St. Paul with a Bachelor of Science degree in electronic media communications. She transferred there after playing D-1 volleyball for two seasons with the Manhattan College Jaspers in New York. She continues to enjoy playing pick-up volleyball. She also likes to work out, eat good food, explore new areas and cultures and scrapbook.
She is married to her husband, Luke, and they have a son.
