Annie Schroeder joined the 10 News team as a reporter in June 2020 and is no stranger to Southwest Virginia.
She comes to Roanoke after working at NBC29 in Charlottesville for two years as a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor.
In Charlottesville, Annie covered several national stories including the University of Virginia Men’s Basketball Championship and the first anniversary of the 2017 Unite the Right rally. She has also covered high-profile trials, equity efforts within Virginia school divisions and Charlottesville’s efforts to start a Police Civilian Review board.
Annie got her start in journalism at Radford University. During her time there, she had multiple jobs in media including running the university’s student TV station and newspaper. While in college, she also completed two internships in Roanoke.
Annie was born and raised in Virginia and is happy to call the commonwealth her home.
Outside of the newsroom, Annie enjoys seeing all that Roanoke has to offer with her corgi, Penny.
