Are you charging your phone the wrong way?

HOUSTON – It’s a simple task that we all complete every day, but chances are that we’ve doing it all wrong.

According to Battery University, people should not plug in their phones to charge before they go to bed. Experts said that leaving a phone charging all night can wear down the battery, because of the “trickle charges” it receives after reaching 100 percent.

Experts recommend that a battery should never be fully charged, and to plug in the device throughout the day in smaller increments.

Keeping your device cool is key as well, experts said. They also recommend removing your phone from its case before charging it.
