Roanoke City Council will vote today to sell land to Humm Kombucha.  Governor Terry McAuliffe announced last month that the company will build a facility in the Star City.  It's expected to have a $58 million annual economic impact in the region and ultimately create 110 jobs.  The $10 million facility will be built on Blue Hills Drive.

If you are planning to run in the this year's Drumstick Dash, you can pick up your race packet and t-shirt starting today.  Through Wednesday you can get your race materials from 7 a.m. through 6 p.m. or you can get it before the race on Thursday.  The Rescue Mission says it has already broken one record this year, with corporate sponsorships up 14 percent over last year.

Charlottesville City Council will discuss asking legislators to endorse two bills.  Both of them are tied to the August Unite the Right Rally.  One bill would prevent certain types of semi-automatic rifles and shotguns from being allowed in public spaces and prohibit people from using torches as intimidation.  The second asks that city council be given the right to make decision about confederate monuments.  If council agrees to these, they will be passed on to Delegate David Toscano and Rob Bell who could endorse them during next year's General Assembly term.

A staple for more than two decades, the Georgia Dome will be imploded today.  It was built in 1992 and has hosted the Olympics, Super Bowl and NCAA men's basketball Final Four.  Demolition is set for 7:30 this morning.
