What's News Today: September 22, 2017

Here's a look at some of the stories we'll be following today

Today is the last day to drop off supplies at Franklin County High School.  The supplies will be driven by the school's principal to Texas on Sunday.  They are collecting canned food, bottled water, pet supplies and more.

Meredith Woo will formally be installed as the 13th president of Sweet Briar College.  The inauguration ceremony is part of the school's annual Founders' Day Weekend.  Woo started as president on May 15th.

The New River Health District holds a drive-thru flu shot clinic today.  It will set up at Memorial Square Shopping Center in Pulaski starting at 8:30 a.m.  The flu shots are free, but only 300 doses are available.  You must be at least 18 years of age and are asked to wear clothing that is loose around your arm.

New River Community College holds its annual Campus Cruise In tonight.  It features classic cars, music and food trucks.  The event is free to attend.  If you want to register your car, there is a $10 fee.
