Here's a look at some of the stories we'll be following today

Construction for Virginia's largest municipal utility solar farm begins this month.  Governor Terry McAuliffe says the Kentuck Solar Project will power more than 900 homes in Danville.  The $10 million investment will supply more than 1.5 percent of Danville Utilities power needs.  The project will be located between Dan River Middle, Kentuck Elementary and Dan River High Schools.

The Thomas Jefferson Institute for Public Policy holds a roundtable discussion today on immigration.  Panelists will talk about what immigration should look like and its possible impacts on the American economy and citizens.  The Jefferson Institute gives a non-partisan analysis of public policy issues in Virginia.

Visitation takes place today for the former police chief in the Town of Amherst.  According to the department's Facebook page, Chief Haney Motley died on Saturday.  His family will receive friends today at Driskill Funeral Home.
