Eyewitness News has uncovered that a woman who has claimed to be a family member of the 14-year-old who fell from a ride at ICON Park has no ties to the family.

The memorial for Tyre Sampson continues to grow larger and so do the calls for accountability. Sampson’s family, as well as people passing by, having been signing a poster spreading thoughts of love and demanding the free fall ride be shut down.

Attorneys Ben Crump and Bob Hilliard have been hired on retainer to represent the family of Tyre Sampson, 14, who fell to his death Thursday night from the Orlando Free Fall at ICON Park, according to a news release.

"Why doesn't this have a little click to it, like a seatbelt?" the person said.

The ride at ICON Park takes up to 30 guests high into the air before plummeting 400 feet toward the ground at 70 miles an hour.
