Roanoke car wash condemned after landslide causes damage
UPDATESouthern Classic Auto Wash owners Willy Snider and Nancy Alcorn said they learned that a landslide took their business after a call from police on Tuesday morning. Southern Classic Auto Wash off of Orange Ave. NE has been condemned, according to Roanoke Fire-EMS. ORIGINAL STORYFire crews are on the scene of a landslide in Roanoke off of Orange Avenue. The landslide has caused damage to Southern Classic Auto Wash at 950 Orange Avenue NE, according to a 10 News crew at the scene. No one was hurt as a result of the landslide and itโs not affecting roadways, according to Roanoke Fire-EMS.

SALEM, Va. Flooding was not the only problem across southwest Virginia on Wednesday as a landslide closed part of a road in Salem. The 2400 block of Franklin Street was temporarily closed, according to Salem Fire-EMS. That stretch is not far from where Franklin Street meets Tyler Way and Poff Lane. Daniel Lam lives across the street from the landslide and said he was sitting on his front porch Wednesday morning when it happened.
