Floods washed away houses and destroyed roads and bridges surrounding the city of Nice on the French Riviera after almost a year's average rainfall fell in less than 12 hours. The missing include two French firefighters whose vehicle was carried away by a torrent when a road collapsed south of the village of Saint-Martin-Vesubie. An Italian firefighter was killed on Saturday during a rescue operation in the mountainous northern region of Val dโ€™Aosta. Italian firefighters also rescued 25 people trapped on the French side of a high mountain pass due to the flooding.

Officials with the School of Aeronautics say their long-standing partnership with Piedmont helped make this possible. Warriors quarterback Dryus Hairston triggered a Magna Vista surge that broke a 14-all tie with G.W, Danville, producing two touchdowns in the final 9 minutesHairston finished with a 17-32 evening thru the air for 260 yards and 3 touchdowns. He added a rushing touchdown, and a two point conversion pass in the Warriors 28-14 win. The junior quarterback threw touchdown passes of 29, 24 and 13-yards in putting Magna Vista atop the Piedmont district. For his efforts Dryus Hairston is our Week 10-1st and 10 Player of the Week.
