Bills sign McDermott to multiyear extension
The Buffalo Bills have signed coach Sean McDermott to a multiyear contract extension. A person with direct knowledge told the Associated Press the contract is a four-year extension that runs through the 2025 season. The Bills have finished near the top of the league in most defensive categories in recent seasons; from 2018-19, the Bills allowed the fewest yards in the NFL (296.2 per game). In 2019, Buffalo finished second in points allowed (16.2), third in yards allowed (4,772) and fourth in passing yards allowed (3,123). He is the first Bills coach to receive a contract extension since Dick Jauron in 2008 though Jauron was fired the following year.
High School students in Wythe County say a county supervisor personally attacked them for being gay
WYTHEVILLE, Va. โ Some high school students in Wythe County are demanding an apology from an elected official after they said he personally attacked them for being gay. That sticker is on the door of Rural Retreat High School language teacher Megan Patrick, who was first to address the board. Many took significant offense to Terry linking gay kids the โcollapse of humanityโ and stating that he will vote his โChristian values" during budget decisions. โ(Terry) has known since we went to high school together that I am a lesbian,โ Eastwood said. "I do appreciate people coming out.โThe students intend to bring their concerns before the school board at its meeting later this week.
El Paso mother killed shielding baby from gunfire

The mother of three later died at a hospital after using her body to protect her 2-month-old son, Terry said. "How do parents go school shopping and then die shielding their baby from bullets?" The first call of an active shooter went out at 10:39 a.m. local time, El Paso Police Chief Greg Allen said.
