BOTETOURT COUNTY, Va. – A downed electrical pole is causing a major backup on Interstate 81 in Botetourt County.
The pole is down at mile marker 169, just north of the Arcadia exit at mile marker 168,  and has closed the southbound right lane and right shoulder, according to VDOT.

As of 4:35 p.m., traffic was backed up 6.5 miles.
VDOTÂ expects the road to be completely reopened by 7 p.m.
