Snow showers continue to fall Saturday morning across Southwest Virginia. Virginia Department of Transportation crews have been clearing roads overnight and will address road conditions throughout the day. Some areas pretreated main roads before the snow started falling.
The highways and most main routes are in good shape, with isolated slick spots.

Many secondary roads in Southside and the New River Valley are in minor to moderate condition, with icy patches.
Re-freezing is likely to develop, as temperatures are low. There will also be increasing wind throughout the day and weekend.
