ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. - For a few hours, only one lane and one shoulder of Interstate 81 were open in Roanoke County, causing headaches for drivers.

A tractor-trailer crash at mile marker 139.3, just south of the Salem exit, had traffic backed up for 7 miles at one point, according to VDOT.

Traffic has since returned to normal.
