Calling all photographers: Wealthy family looks to hire for incredible six-figure travel gig

Position pays $100K for one year, includes other perks, as well

Calling all photographers: We have a dream job to tell you about.

A wealthy couple in the United Kingdom is looking for someone to travel the world with their family. The gig pays more than $100,000 a year, not to mention, your employer will cover travel, food and accommodation expenses. (!!!)

The photographer booking service Perfocal received a request that read, “It might be better to speak about this by email (or) over the phone as it’s a bit of a unique request, and I was hoping you’d know how to help,” the family member wrote. “We’re after a family photographer willing to travel internationally with us for a long period of time.”

Here’s a follow-up email, which was posted by Perfocal.

In case you didn’t click over and read the whole thing, here are some of the main points: The couple previously had a photographer who worked for them, but that person had to leave the job due to family commitments. Now, the couple is looking for someone new to fill those shoes and, hopefully, that person will start in February.

The position is listed as “a great opportunity, but it is a big commitment,” the email said. “There’s potential to be away for up to three months at a time, and we’ll be visiting places in Europe, America, South America, and Australia, where we own a number of holiday homes and other residences.”
The job is expected to last a year, but it could be extended, for the right person.

Some of the events the photographer might capture include the Formula One Grand Prix in Monaco and Abu Dhabi, diving in the Maldives and Mardi Gras in New Orleans -- just to name a few.

You might work up to 10 hours a day, but you’ll get full sick pay and 30 vacation days, according to the website PetaPixel.

“ ... It's important that the selected person is able to leave home at short notice and be OK with potentially traveling for most of the year, sometimes coming home for no more than a few days at a time,” the family writes.

The couple does realize that this is a big ask, but they seem willing to pay for the “inconvenience.”

They've been looking to fill the gig since September, according to the email.

So, know anyone who isn't tied down at the moment? Maybe someone who bucks the trend of a 9-5 job, or who doesn't have a family or his or her own yet? We have a good feeling that you'll definitely want to pass this along. Here's the link to apply.
