2016's Stop 6: Nelson County

NELSON COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Stop 6 on the Virginia Proud Weather Tour has Jeff Haniewich at Devils Backbone Brewing Company.

The company opened "Base Camp" in Nelson County in 2008. All of the bottles, cans and kegs come out of the company's facility in Lexington.

Once the Lexington facility was complete, the Nelson County spot became a pilot brewery, which is where Devils Backbone develops new recipes, according to Aaron Reilly, the lead brewer for Devils Backbone in Nelson County.

In case you're wondering, Reilly's favorite beer is Reilly's Rye Ale.

On May 14, the brewery will be hosting an oyster roast from 12- 5 p.m. On May 19, it's the Campfire Beer Dinner.

On Friday, Jeff will be in downtown Roanoke for the Community School's Strawberry Festival.
