2016's Stop 9: Rockbridge County

ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Stop 9 on the Virginia Proud Weather Tour took Jeff Haniewich to Rockbridge County on Tuesday.

Jeff visited the Robert E. Lee Hotel, just one place to visit in the county.

"Rockbridge County as 64,000 acres of national forest land," said Patty Williams, director for marketing and tourism in Rockbridge County.

The county recently launched new website, rockbridgeoutdoors.com, to make people aware of what it has to offer.

The upcoming first annual Fish and Pick Bluegrass Festival will be from May 20-22 in Glen Maury Park in Buena Vista.

On Wednesday, the Virginia Proud Weather Tour will be in Alleghany County to take a closer look at the newly renovated Historic Masonic Theater in Clifton Forge.
