ROANOKE, Va - – December 1st is feeling more like November 1st as our mild stretch of late continues. With the help of mostly sunny skies Friday, temperatures climb back into the upper-50s and lower-60s. Extra clouds stream in for Saturday, but sun quickly returns to close out the weekend.
We'll start off warm, but a big-time Arctic cold front is poised to arrive Tuesday into Wednesday. That will bring much needed rain chances to the area over those day as well as supply likely the coldest air of the season so far. While our other dates with Arctic air have been quick, this one looks to stick around for a much longer time.
By Thursday, high temperatures will struggle to make it out of the 30s.
