Snow continues Saturday, blast of cold to follow

Wind chills in single digits and teens Sunday morning


ROANOKE, Va. – Snow will continue to re-develop Saturday adding an additional light accumulation to the snow most of us saw Friday. An additional coating to two inches of snow can be expected before the snow shuts off later Saturday afternoon. Be on the lookout for snow-covered roads and slick spots as temperatures will be in the 30s.

A clipper system pushes through the area later this evening bringing light snow to the western slopes. The wind will increase to a tune of 20-35 mph. late Saturday and into Sunday. Temperatures behind this system will crash into the teens and twenties. With the wind factored in, wind chills will plummet to the single digits and teens by Sunday morning.


An even bigger blast of cold arrives by Wednesday night.
