Bitter cold wind chills to start Tuesday

Rounds of cold continue through at least next week

ROANOKE, Va – A Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect through the morning along and west of the Blue Ridge as wind chill values dip below zero. It will feel more like the single digits with the wind factored in east of the Blue Ridge across Southside and central Virginia.

The winds will subside through the afternoon and especially overnight so wind won't be much of a factor when you wake up Wednesday. It will still be frigid though with temperatures dipping down into the upper single digits and lower teens Wednesday morning.

ANOTHER BLAST

A reinforcing shot of Arctic air comes in late Thursday night and into the weekend. Lows will once again return to the single digits with most of the area feeling like it's below zero.

ANY END IN SIGHT?

We will warm things up slightly by Sunday and jump into the low to mid 40s by Monday, but another round of bitter cold is slated to blast through by Tuesday sending us back to the deep freeze.
