Tornado Warning expires for parts of Halifax County

Warning expired at 3 p.m.

The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for southwestern Halifax County Thursday afternoon.

The warning, issued at about 2:30 p.m. expired at 3 p.m.

The warning initially included parts of Pittsylvania County, but around 2:45 p.m., was removed by the National Weather Service.
