ROANOKE, Va - - Clouds are hanging on along the Blue Ridge, but east of the Blue Ridge skies are already clear.. Another below average day in the temperature department is on tap even with sunshine out for everyone by the afternoon. Slightly warmer air arrives Thursday.
As that warmer air moves in later this evening, clouds will go on the increase with a stray shower or two also becoming possible. The chance for rain exits by early Thursday morning and sunshine once again returns for the afternoon.
Widespread rain chances arrive Saturday afternoon as a strong cold front slices through the area. Another blast of Arctic follows that front and settles in on Sunday.
