Dodging showers and storms for weekend events

Staying unsettled through early next week

By Jonathan Kegges - Meteorologist

ROANOKE, VA. - There are a lot things going on this weekend and we would like the weather to cooperate. It's definitely not the worst weekend for outdoor activities, but it may not be the best either. An unsettled weather pattern has taken over and we will see scattered storm chances through the next several days.

If you're headed to Microfestivus, be prepared to dip inside or put the umbrella up, but it will by no means be a washout.

The second half of the weekend looks to be on the drier side before rain chances increase again on Monday.

Temperatures will also be on the cooler side this week with showers and storms around.
