Quiet weather...for now
Monday was certainly a very warm day with temperatures in the 70s and 80s. And they only go up from here! The hottest day this week will likely be Wednesday. And while the beginning part of the work week looks quiet and tranquil, the end of the week does not. An unsettled weather pattern will again take shape from Thursday all the way through Memorial Day Weekend.
Tonight: Fair skies, pleasant with lows in the upper 50s.
Tuesday: Partly to mostly sunny, warm with highs in the middle 80s.
Some of us will get close to 90 on Hump Day! And while most of us still look dry on Wednesday, a few rogue late-day t-showers cannot be ruled out in the mountains. A better chance for rain/storms will move in Thursday and Friday as a cold front moves through and eventually stalls very close to us. The best chance for showers and storms these two days will lie in the afternoon and evening hours. While we see some sun both days, more clouds will be around too…especially after lunch-time. That should allow us to not be as hot late week with highs I the middle 80s on Thursday and the lower 80s on Friday. The humidity will likely be quite high though.
The weekend does not look much better for outdoor activities. Not a washout…the morning hours don’t look too bad. But the PM hours at this point do…on occasion. Scattered showers and storms will again be in the forecast from Saturday through Monday (Memorial Day). Otherwise we will be variably cloudy, warm, and humid. Temperatures this holiday weekend will reach between 80-84 degrees.
