One dead after fire in Lynchburg

Lynchburg – One person is dead after a structure fire in Lynchburg early Sunday morning

Crews were called to the fire on the 4700 block of Oxford Street shortly after 3:30 a.m. When they arrived they found a man in the basement.

He was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

Officials have not released the name of the victim.

Foul play is not suspected at this time.
