Person found dead outside car in Lynchburg, police say

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Authorities are investigating after they said a person was found dead outside of a car in Lynchburg on Thanksgiving morning.

Officers were called around 7:30 a.m. for a report of a person lying on the ground in the area of Yorktown Avenue and Westerly Drive.

Police said first responders determined the person was dead.
