UPDATE: I-81 South reopens in Montgomery County after tractor-trailer fire

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Va. – UPDATE

All lanes are now open and traffic is moving along normally. 

ORIGINAL STORY

A tractor-trailer fire is causing a traffic issue on I-81 South in Montgomery County. 

One southbound lane is closed at mile marker 113, which is near the Route 8 exit. There is heavy smoke and flames coming from the tractor-trailer. 

Emergency crews are on the scene.
