ROANOKE, Va – A death investigation is underway after a body was found in Roanoke Monday night.
Roanoke City Police said the body was found at 7:19 p.m. in a wooded area near the 4400 block of Summit Drive.
Police are not currently investigating the death as a homicide, but that has not been ruled out yet either.
Before police left the scene Monday night, a hazmat team was at the scene.
