Police looking at cellphone data of missing Roanoke woman

Merle-Perez had a Metro PCS phone

ROANOKE, Va. – New search warrants reveal investigators are looking at cellphone records of a woman who was last seen March 3.

The warrants show Roanoke police requested access from Metro PCS to look at Edme Merle-Perez's phone data.

Investigators hope it can provide insight before and after her disappearance. The 38-year-old was reported missing by her family on March 27.

The search is also in relation to credit card fraud.

As WSLS 10 has reported, Dayshaun Kent was seen using Merle-Perez's debit card after she went missing.

Earlier this month, investigators searched an area of Tinker Creek related to this case.
