ROANOKE, Va. – Roanoke police, along with Virginia State Police, are searched an area of Tinker Creek in relation to the Edme Merle-Perez missing person investigation, according to Scott Leamon with the Roanoke Police Department.
Roanoke police say the 38-year-old, who is from Roanoke, was last seen March 3 and was reported missing to police by her family on March 27.
No word on what led detectives to the search in the creek at this time.
