Crews put out fire at vacant home in Danville

No injuries were reported.

DANVILLE – Fire Crews responded to a house fire in Danville. 

The Danville Fire Department responded to a reported of a fire at 909 Paxton Street Thursday at 11:14 pm. 

Crews arrived and found fire showing from the windows on the second story and attic area of a large two-story vacant home. 

Crews say the fire was knocked down at 12:24 a.m. and determined to be under control at 12:52 am. 

Crews remained on scene to search for and extinguish hidden fires due to a partial roof and floor collapse.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office. No injuries were reported.
