DANVILLE, Va. – Two people are in the hospital after a shooting Friday night, according to Danville police.
Police responded to the 100 block of Motley Avenue about 8:50 p.m. Friday in regard to a shots-fired call.
Once at the scene, police say they found a 34-year-old woman and an 11-year-old boy who had been shot.
Police say both victims are from Danville.
The two were taken to Danville Regional Medical Center for treatment and released.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
