Lynchburg woman dies, 3- and 9-year-old suffer injuries in crash

CAMPBELL COUNTY (WSLS 10) - A Lynchburg woman died after she crashed on English Tavern Road near Russell Springs Road Wednesday evening.
It happened around 9:30. Virginia State Police said Stacy L. Biggs was driving a 1997 Ford Aspire east on English Tavern Road. The car ran off the right side of the road and hit an embankment, overturning.

Biggs was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected from the car. She died at the scene.
Two people in the car with Biggs, a 3- and 9-year-old, were taken to Lynchburg General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The 3-year-old was in a child safety seat, but the 9-year-old was not in a seat belt.
