The Bedford Police Department will soon have a new police cruiser with a different look.
On Tuesday, the department unveiled a design to commemorate the 70th anniversary of D-Day. The American Legion Post 54 paid for the design which cost about $500. Chief James Day of the police department says it's important to honor those who served.

"With the history of the Bedford Boys it is probably one of the most significant things that ever happened to the Bedford community," says Day.
