Montgomery Co. middle schooler suspended after bringing knife to school

MONTGOMERY COUNTY (WSLS 10) - A Shawsville Middle School student is suspended after bringing a knife to school.

School spokeswoman Brenda Drake said the middle schooler was suspended after making a threat and having the knife.

She said the two events happened on separate days.

Drake said she did not know how long the student was suspended, but did said bringing a knife to school is not an expellable offense. Brandishing a knife would be, she said.
