CARROLL CO., Va. – The Virginia State Police is currently investigating a single-vehicle crash that killed a 19-year-old Carolina man, and injured another, in Carroll Co. Wednesday.
According to VSP, the crash occurred just past 1 a.m. Wednesday when a 2013 Nissan Altima heading southbound on Route 463 failed to negotiate a curve.

VSP said the Altima went off the left side of the road struck a tree head-on and then struck another tree.
The driver has been identified as 19-year-old Elijah Slavey of Low Gap North Carolina, he died at the scene.
A passenger, Marvin Delp III suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
