Described by shelter staff and volunteers as kind-hearted, genuine and fun, Sonny is approximately 10 years old and looking for a family to adore. His ideal day includes a walk with his person, some lap time and sleeping by their side at night.
Sonny arrived at the humane society after a difficult journey. He was surrendered with his sister, through no fault of his own, and was transferred from the local pound to another shelter before landing at Floyd County Humane Society — spending much of that time living with uncertainty and without a stable home.
Shelter volunteers say Sonny is one of their favorites and make sure he receives plenty of love and attention. Still, they are quick to point out that even the most caring shelter environment is no substitute for a forever home.
Sonny has been at Floyd County Humane Society for 336 days.
