I have terminal breast cancer. Dr. Henshaw botched my care - operated while she was sick and placed in ICU DURING my surgery. Henshaws office recommended chemo. I did 6 mos of chemo, several surgeries, 33 rads. Following the disabling chemo- my ONcotype DX was run (finally- by a new doctor.) As you can see- chemo wouldn't help. This was AFTER finishing chemo...several allergic reactions. I have lymphadema, chemo eye damage, lung damage and chemo induced severe nueropathy. From your story today- “Prioritize yourself. You cannot take care of anyone else if you are not well. So the best thing you can do for your kids..." Henshaw. Practice what you preach!
My boys and I at the Disney's All-Star Music Resort. We were selected for a "Wish Trip" - as I have stage 4/terminal cancer. We had the time of our lives. They had never been on a plane or to any type of amusement park. The weather was challenging- as we received approx. 9 inches of rain induring our 4 day trip.
My dad- Dennis "Bunky" Kennedy formerly of Christiansburg, VA. A Vietnam Veteran with the 101st A.B. He died in January. He lived a challenging life- but he always tried his best- and he was mine. Miss you dad. You are enjoying this Father's Day where the sunset meets the horizon at the ocean. I know that when people don't know you- I show you - through me. -Kelly
From my oncologist's office. Something that makes me smile when things get to be too much. (Stage 4...two kiddos.)
