Off and on shower chances with cooling temperatures this weekend
THURSDAY TO SUNDAY
Our next low pressure system moves in on Friday. Thursday stays sunny and mild as temperatures rise to the 80s. Winds gust to 30 mph at their highest, but once the sun goes down we have calm winds into Friday.
A warm front brings a round of showers early on Friday. After noon we get a break with light showers. Some storms can form, but the severe threat is low. The cold front in that system pushes through over Friday night. Showers pop up very early on Saturday and clear to our east as the morning goes on. That leaves lots of nice, mild weather behind the front.
Temperatures drop to the low 70s on Saturday with even cooler weather on Sunday when some extra showers form. Those are lighter than what we see on Friday.
INTO NEXT WEEK
High pressure takes over on Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures rise to the mid-60s on Monday and reach the 70s again on Tuesday. Despite a cold front bringing showers on Wednesday we hold onto that heat. Highs are still in the 70s through Thursday.
