The high winds and low humidity contributed to several counties issuing an elevated wildfire risk advisory on Wednesday. โThe fire danger right now is the highest that itโs been all fire season,โ said Bill Sweeney with the Virginia Department of Forestry. โLuckily they were able to hop on it, but if you donโt have to burn, donโt burn.โVirginia has a burn ban in effect before 4 p.m. until the end of April. โWhen you have hot, dry conditions like what weโre having, it makes fuel more available.
