Authorities say a football player at the University of Alabama at Birmingham stabbed two teammates hours before UAB's weekend home game against the University of South Florida.

Jaedon LeDee dominated inside on the way to 32 points, Lamont Butler added 15 and No. 5 seed San Diego State held off 12th-seeded UAB 69-65 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

Dylan Hopkins broke the Independence Bowl record for completion percentage in wind and driving rain, connecting on 19 of 23 passes for 189 yards and three touchdowns in UAB’s 31-28 victory over No. 12 BYU on Saturday.

Malik Willis accounted for over 400 offense and three touchdowns.
