Maine’s leading Republican and Democratic officials are taking different approaches to Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s sweeping ongoing action in the state.

Maine Gov. Janet Mills challenged federal immigration officials to provide arrest warrants, real-time numbers and information about detainees amid a sweeping enforcement operation, saying the state has been left in the dark as fear spreads in immigrant communities.
