Authorities say they investigated a sexual assault allegation against Smokey Robinson in 2015, but no charges were filed because of insufficient evidence.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says it has opened a criminal investigation into rape and sexual assault allegations against Motown music luminary Smokey Robinson.
