McNeese coach Will Wade and his boombox-toting manager are moving on in March Madness after the 12th-seeded Cowboys held off late-charging No. 5 seed Clemson 69-67 in the first bracket buster of the NCAA Tournament.

Ian Schieffelin scored 13 of his 21 points in the second half to help No. 13 Clemson come from behind to beat Virginia 71-58. Schieffelin, coming off a 24-point outing against Notre Dame, also grabbed 13 rebounds for his ninth double-double of the season, as the Tigers stayed a game behind first-place Duke in the conference standings. Isaac McKneely had 16 points for the Cavaliers. Virginia had hit 10 or more 3-pointers in seven of its last 10 games before Saturday, but went 8 for 19 from beyond the arc.

Chauncey Wiggins scored 12 points and Ian Schieffelin had 11 points and a career-high 20 rebounds as Clemson shut down No. 4 Kentucky for a 70-66 victory in the SEC/ACC Challenge.

No. 6 Virginia was held to a season-low 32% shooting from the field.
