Spencer Platt/Getty Images(CNN) - Kade Lovell never dreamed he would win the St. Francis Franny Flyer 10K run -- heck, the 9-year-old didn't even know he was running it until he was about halfway through the race. His mom had been waiting for him to finish the shorter race and was getting more and more worried as the minutes passed. They were shocked when race officials told them Kade had won the race with a time of 48:17.4. "First I'm scared, then I'm angry, then I'm excited when we found out he wins, and you're just relieved, too," she said. After the race, Kade took a nice, long bath and, he said, just "chilled on the couch."

HANNIBAL, Missouri (CNN) - Mark Twain made this cave famous through his writings, and speculation swirled for decades that he'd signed his name somewhere inside it. This week, the owners of the cave can finally confirm: "Sam Clemens," Twain's real name, is indeed inscribed inside the Mark Twain cave in Hannibal, Missouri. "My single hope has been that someone would find it during my lifetime," Lovell said in a statement from the Mark Twain Cave Complex. Mac Donnell and Gribben first compared the signature to those of Twain's siblings and parents, to mark them off the list of potential Clemenses. "This year, not only is Hannibal celebrating its bicentennial year, the Mark Twain Cave is also celebrating its 200th anniversary of discovery.
